Mangaluru: Narendra Modi to Inaugurate International Traditional and Modern Medicine Conference

Mangaluru: Health and Family Welfare minister U T Khader held a press meet at the Eden Club here, on December 24.

Addressing the mediapersons, U T Khader said that from January 3 to 7, there will be an international Traditional and Modern Medicine conference at Bengaluru. Prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference on January 3 at 3 pm at the Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VYASA).

The conference will bring Allopathy and Ayush doctors together to share their knowledge for the prevention of 5 illnesses such as mental stress, heart disease, cancer, diabetes and hypertension.

There will be more than 10,000 delegates from 20 countries for the 5-day conference. The central Ayush department, the state Ayush and the private Ayush practitioners together are hosting this conference. Besides the conference, there will also be an Ayush Expo, where more than 150 Ayush companies will exhibit their products, and a free health check-up camp.

He further said that traditional medicine helps in preventing many diseases. “In this regard, we need to bring awareness among the people. Ayush practitioners will deliver speeches on the advantages of Ayush and the Allopathy doctors will deliver speeches on modern medicine. The Ayush practitioners will also provide guidance on eating habits and yoga to maintain good health.” Chief minister Siddaramaiah will preside over the conference. He also said that a Pharma Park will be built in Ira, Bantwal Taluk.

Speaking on the upcoming MLC elections, Khader said, “In the MLC elections, Congress candidate Pratapchandra Shetty will win by a huge margin. Gram panchayat and taluk panchayat members are working hard for his success. the Congress high command has chosen an able candidate for the MLC elections and it is the duty of every TP and GP member to work with integrity.”

“In the 45 years of his political career, Pratapchandra has worked with integrity and transparency. He has worked hard for the development of the party.”

When asked about why Pratapchandra Shetty was chosen as the MLC candidate, Khader said that Pratapchandra Shetty has worked hard for the development of the party. “He was not behind publicity. Whatever work he has undertaken, he has done them with integrity and transparency. There is not a single black dot in the 45 years of his political career.”
