Mangaluru: Nikhilesh M Holla has bagged the First Prize comprising cash and trophy in 1500 mts Freestyle Swimming Competition (Junior Category) during Beach Utsava organised at Malpe Beach to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of D.K. and Udupi District Co-operative Fish Marketing Federation Ltd., Mulihithlu, Mangaluru on 1 March 2015.
Nikhilesh has also been selected to represent Karnataka at the national level after gaining 8 marks and securing 3rd place in 17-years category at the state level Chess Tournament for 2014-15 held under the auspices of Department of Public Instruction.
Nikhilesh M Holla, who is a 9th Standard student of Canara High School, Urva, Mangaluru, has also won Bronze Medal in the 200 mts State Level Free Style Swimming Competition organised in October 2014.
