Mangaluru: A 30-year-old woman was assaulted by a youth at Kulai here on August 4.
The injured has been identified as Sowmya (30), a resident of Katipalla.
According to sources, it is learnt that Azim, a native of North India was working in Makrana Marble centre. Recently he had lost his job. Sowmya is also a employee in the same company. On August 4, when Sowmya was walking towards her office, Azim attacked Sowmya with a blade and fled from the spot.
Sowmya was rushed to the hospital, the reason for the assault is not yet known.
A case has been registered in the Suratkal police station.
