Mangaluru: Pandeshwar Police Arrest 21-year-old Youth in Theft Case

Mangaluru: The Pandeshwar police have arrested a youth in connection with a theft case, near the Central Railway Station here, on September 28.

The arrested has been identified as Sikhandar Shah (21), a native of West Bengal.

According to the police, on September 28, at around 10:45am, when the Pandeshwar police led by police inspector Dinaker Shetty were on their regular patrol, they noticed a youth walking suspiciously near the railway station with a black bag held in his hand. The police stopped and questioned him.

When they checked the contents in the bag, they found a laptop and mobile phones which were stolen from the Mobile Shop from Suratkal on September 11. On interrogation Shah also revealed that he was on his way to West Bengal to sell the stolen items.

The Pandeshwar police have recovered an HP Laptop, smart pro laptop charger, mouse, Sony headphone, body sprays, Samsung mobile and battery – all worth Rs 25,000 – from his possession.
