A minute of silence was observed by all participants to pay respect to the fallen martyrs in the recent terror attack at Phatankot air base in Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion Chakravarthy Sulibele said, “It is easy to run terrorism in other countries but not in India, as the veins of the Muslims in India run the rich blood with Indian culture. Although there was a lot of opposition to this seminar in the state, we have received maximum support from Mangaluru city.”

“It is indeed foolish to say that only my belief is supreme, the only way we can develop India and make it a superpower is to accept each other’s beliefs. There seems to be an air of intolerance in the country, but we know that India is indeed a tolerant nation and the main objective of this seminar is to remind Indians of that fact,” Chakravarthy said.

“We can pay true homage to the fallen heroes only if we keep our nation ahead of all the religious beliefs,” he added.

Faiz Khan laid flowers at the feet of the banner which bore photographs of martyrs and said, “These are the actual fallen heroes of our nation, without whom we could not live a peaceful life. We should never forget their sacrifice and should seek inspiration from them.” He said that in China it was customary for a person to serve in the armed forces for at least a year without any pay. “Indians should also follow this suit; imagine the pride the parents feel when they proudly say that their child is serving the nation in the armed forces,” he added.

Faiz Khan further said, “India is a country that has accepted all kinds of people. Today in India we have the freedom to build our own places of worship and follow our own faith. But if we go to Arab nations or even Rome, we are not allowed this privilege. India is a nation of tolerance and if anyone says that he doesn’t want to live in this great nation, then it is a loss to them and not to the country.”

“If we stick to the ideology of ‘I am the best or my religion is the best,’ then VasudaivaKutumbakam cannot be achieved. Quoting versus from a holy book is just information which even ‘Google’ can do, it is not actual knowledge. Actual knowledge is when we can apply in our lives what we learn from those quotes,” Faiz Khan said.

He further said that we should change according to the times. There was once a social need for a man to keep several wives, but that isn’t a need anymore. A woman can enjoy protection in society without being married. “Such practices are only exploited now and there is an urgent need to change according to changing times,” he added.

Abdul Razak said, “I was born in a Muslim family, but was bought up among the Hindus. I am running a charitable trust and every year I treat about 1 to 1.5 lakh people and I have been doing my bit of social work from the past 33 years. All that I have learnt in these many years is that all religions are one as our blood is same, it sure does look the same.”

“All Muslims can go out of India, but my Hindu brothers, tell me can you live without Muslims? I cannot live without my Hindu brothers,” Abdul Razak said.

Mustafa said, “We come to this world without our knowledge and leave the world without our knowledge. We think that the time we have in between life and death is eternal, but it is not so. ‘Let’s Live Together’ is a subject that is required to be nurtured and constant friendship and brotherhood should be our goal.”

  1. Chakravarthy Sulibele – Commendable job.

RSS: Do not alienate our brothers and to bread terrorism internally.

  2. Good Job… Yes we are all children of our Bharath matha and we have to leave our hatred. It is not one sided. If our religious leaders and Dharma Gurus sit together to solve the issue, I think everything will be alright. India is a hub n shelter of all religions and no where in the world we see the diversity which can see n experience in India. So we say Unity in Diversity… Jai Bharath Matha.

    • Kumuda – “So we say Unity in Diversity… Jai Bharath Matha.”

Madam, the opposite is true now! Now it is diversity in unity!!

I am a man whom nobody accept as a leader. But I have indomitable and misplaced political ambitions. So, I resort to make use of religious sentiments as a tool. In that case the focus shifts from me to the religion and people begin to ignore the person that I am, and follow the religious impulses, rather than rational and logical deductions. This polarisation breads polarization in the opposite religious camp, thus growing religious fundamentalism in one religious group becomes the most congenial matter for the religious extremism in the opposite camp too. We would not realise this till at last we are sucked into the abysmal depths and we can not wriggle out from such situation.

THEY SOW WIND TO REAP WHIRLWIND! THEY WOULD DESTROY RELIGIONS, WHICH THEY OSTENSIBLY PREACH TO PROTECT.
