Mangaluru: Two ‘Terror’ Accused in illagal weapon storing case in Ullal Produced Before Court

Mangaluru: Two of the accused who were arrested in the Ullal illegal weapons storing case, were produced before the third additional Sessions court here on March 18.

The accused are Ahmed Bava alias Abubaker, a resident of Haliangady and Syed Mohammed Irshad from Pandeshwar Other 5 accused in the case are out on bail they are Mohammed Ali Mukkachcheri of Ullal and his son Javed Ali, Fakir Ahmed, Shabir Bhatkal and Mohammed Rafiq.

Ahmed Bava and Syed Mohammed were produced before the third additional session court. All the seven were arrested by the Karnataka and Mumbai Police on 4th October 2008. Later 5 were released on bail. It could be recalled that these terror suspects namely Mohammad Ali of Mukkachcheri, Ullal and his son Javed Ali and Ahmed Bava of Halyangadi were caught by the Mangaluru and Mumbai police in a joint operation.

There are a number of cases against Ahmed Bava and Syed Mohammed in Maharashtra.

On March 18, the accused were brought by the Maharashtra police to Mangaluru for the case which was registered in the Ullal police station under IPC 242/08.
