Manipal Arogya Card 2026: Registration Closes on August 31
Mangaluru: August 31, 2026, is the final date to register for the Manipal Arogya Card 2026, Dr. Dilip G. Naik, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Mangaluru Campus, announced.
“We invite the public to make full use of this opportunity,” he said while addressing the media.
He said the Manipal Arogya Card is one of the region’s most trusted healthcare benefit programmes and has served communities for the past 26 years by making quality medical care more affordable and accessible.
The initiative reflects the vision of Manipal founder Dr. T. M. A. Pai, whose mission was to make quality healthcare accessible to every section of society, particularly rural communities. Launched in 2000 under the guidance of Dr. Ramdas M. Pai, Chancellor of MAHE, Manipal, the programme has grown significantly over the years.
From 3,200 families enrolled in its inaugural year, the scheme has expanded significantly. During the last financial year, approximately 2 lakh (200,000) families registered, with around 6.5 lakh (650,000) members currently benefiting from the programme across Karnataka and Kerala.
Dr. Unnikrishnan B., Dean, KMC Mangaluru, said the Manipal Arogya Card is a one-year membership programme designed to provide affordable healthcare to individuals and families under the tagline, “For a Complete Family, Great Value, Trusted Service.”
He said cardholders can avail themselves of healthcare benefits at KMC Hospital Attavar, KMC Hospital Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Circle (Jyothi Circle), Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital, Kateel, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Dr. TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi, and Dr. TMA Pai Rotary Hospital, Karkala, as well as at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, and Mangaluru.
Dr. Chakrapani M., Medical Superintendent, KMC Hospital Attavar, explained the membership options. Individual membership is available for Rs 350, while family membership costs Rs 700 and covers the individual, spouse, and any number of unmarried children below 25 years of age.
The Family Plus membership, priced at Rs 900, covers the individual, spouse, any number of unmarried children below 25 years, and up to four parents, including in-laws.
“Benefits come into effect from the 15th of the month following enrolment and remain valid until August 15, 2027,” he said.
Dr. Deepak Madi, Deputy Medical Superintendent, KMC Hospital Attavar, said Arogya Card holders can avail themselves of discounts of up to 50% on consultation, 20% on laboratory investigations, 20% on radiology investigations such as CT scans, MRI, ultrasound and X-rays, and 10% on outpatient medicines purchased from the hospital pharmacy. Cardholders can also receive a concession of up to 25% on inpatient bills, excluding consumables and packages, across various ward categories.
He noted that the scheme has no upper age limit for enrolment, making it particularly beneficial for senior citizens seeking affordable healthcare.
