Manipal: In a display of rapid response and effective policing, the Manipal Police successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of bike theft within eleven hours of a formal complaint being filed. The suspects, identified as Sharath, aged 26, and Ganesh, aged 31, both residents of Netajinagar within the 80 Badagabettu village jurisdiction, are now in custody.

The case originated with a complaint lodged by Sudarshan, who reported the theft of his motorcycle, which was parked near the Veera Maruti Bhajana Mandir in the Rahulnagar area of 80 Badagabettu village on February 21st. Upon receiving the report, the Manipal Police initiated an immediate investigation.

Through diligent investigative work, law enforcement officials located and apprehended the two suspects within a remarkably short timeframe. The stolen motorcycle was recovered from Sharath and Ganesh, providing crucial evidence in the case.

Following their arrest, the accused were presented before the court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody, pending further legal proceedings.

Authorities indicated that Sharath and Ganesh are known to law enforcement, with a history of alleged involvement in theft cases across multiple jurisdictions. Police reports suggest the two individuals have been implicated in more than eleven theft cases registered at various police stations, including Manipal, Udupi Town, Bhadravathi, Koppa, Thirthahalli, Madikeri, and Tumakuru. The ongoing investigation aims to ascertain the full extent of their criminal activities and bring them to justice for their alleged offenses.
