Miscreants Pelt Stones at Bus in Kuthar after Modi Rally, 7 Arrested

Mangaluru: Stones were pelted in Kuthar at route number 51 bus after an altercation broke out between two groups. BJP workers were returning home in the bus after attending PM Narendra Modi’s Vijaya Sankalp Rally at Nehru Maidan on April 13.

According to Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil, the bus was transporting BJP workers who were returning home after attending the PM’s rally. Miscreants also assaulted women who were travelling on the bus.

After the incident, a large number of BJP workers gathered in front of the Konaje police station and staged a protest. The protesters shouted slogans and demanded the arrest of the culprits.

Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil said, “We have taken the incident very seriously. We have already detained 7 of the accused and others involved will also be arrested soon. We have assured the protesters of taking stringent action against those involved in the crime.”

Police commissioner Sandeep Patil, DCP (Law and Order) Hanumantharaya and other police officials visited spot and investigation is on.

An FIR has been filed in the Konaje police station and 7 of the accused have been arrested.
