MLA Suresh Kumar Interacts with DK Lawyers, Says Modi Once Again

Mangaluru: An Interaction Programme with lawyers from several parts of Dakshina Kannada was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Ocean Pearl Hotel, Kodialbail here, on April 9.

The event began with an invocation. BJP MLA from Rajajinagar – Suresh Kumar was the main speaker of the programme. Former MLA N Yogish Bhat and A L Shenoy were also present.

Advocate Ramakrishna Rai welcomed the gathering. In his welcome address, he said, “2014 was a year to remember. After 25 years, a party received a full majority and Narendra Modi was chosen to be the Prime Minister. After he became the Prime Minister, he said that he was India’s Pradhan Sevak. In the last five years, he has eliminated corruption and given India a respected position on the International stage. We gave him our blessing five years ago. They are asking for our blessing once again. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel is contesting the Lok Sabha elections again. Previously, we lawyers have worked hard and elected him twice. Now, we have to make it a hatrick.”

Delivering the main address Suresh Kumar said, “This is the 17th Lok Sabha Elections. Out of 16 Lok Sabha elections, a few of them have proven to be more important than others. The elections held during the Emergency period was the most important election for me. The 15 months I spent in jail during the Emergency has given me the strength to stand here and speak to you today. I may have studied Law or B.Sc, but the real education I received was during that fifteen months in Central Jail.”

He further said, “The ten years of the UPA govt. was a period of policy paralysis. In a time when people were losing trust in the govt., we elected Narendra Modi. Now, there is another election. A lot of people ask “Why should we vote for Modi?” Some people say “Modi Hatao”. However, a majority of the people say ‘Modi Once Again’. He is a political leader with a difference.”

After his speech, Suresh Kumar fielded questions from the audience. In response to a question about Congress’ NYAY scheme, he said, “Bal Gangadhar Tilak said that Swaraj is my birthright. These people say that lying is their birthright. They had promised to waive farmer loans in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan in 10 days. It has been 130 days since the elections and they still haven’t waived the loans.”

However, multiple news reports prove that Congress waived farm loans in MP, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan on the first day of office.

In response to another question about the ‘TukdeTukde Gang’ and the slogans raised at JNU he said, “Arun Jaitley has said that the Congress Manifesto was prepared by the TukdeTukde Gang. We are very clear that we will use the sedition law in cases of sedition.”

However, a Magistrate report submitted by the Delhi Govt. states that no slogans were raised in JNU and video evidence was doctored to prove otherwise.

  1. Magistrate did not say “No slogans were raised”. But what prosecution could not prove is that which student raised the slogan
Whoeevr thinks it is doctored, should look athe video and intract informally with people who were there. You will know the truth. Professors of that institution have clearly mentioned that such slogans were raised in the campus.
