Mog Asom! (With Love!) Kudla Rapper ‘Prince’ aka Aaron Pinto’s ‘Jung’ Goes Viral on YouTube

Mangaluru: Following close on its heels after releasing the first ever Mangalorean street rap in August 2017 by the first ever Mangalorean street rap artist “PRINCE” aka Aaron Pinto, aged 25, a origin of Jappinamogaru, Mangaluru- the song called “MERA SHEHAR” which was all about Mangalorean streets, Mangalorean people and their achievements- and which was for the first time ever that an artist had represented Mangaluru in the Hip Hop genre, “Prince” has now released his second rap hit named “JUNG” (War)- where the lyrics basically narrate the life story of the Rapper – and also in the song he mentions about his forthcoming association in the “Mog Asom 2” album which will be released on Christmas Eve (24 December 2017) at Kulshekar Church Open Air ground after the night mass.

In the “Mog Asom 2″ album composed by Joel Rebello and Darell Mascarenhas (more on ‘Mog Asom 2’-refer the article link below), Rapper ‘Prince” has one rap song of his own featured in the album, where he talks about intimate love- and that song happens to be the FIRST ever Konkani rap number. Great to note that Konkani is going in the Rap World- something that Konkani lover Eric Ozario-Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann should also think and come up with one of his very own Traditional Konkani Rap??. Aaron ‘Prince says that it is indeed an honour and privilege for him to be incorporated in the “Mog Asom 2” album, along with Bollywood singers like Arman Mallik, Bappi Lahari, Usha Uthup and many other great singers.

“Jung” song is written by ‘Prince’, with Music mix and master by Maclean D’souza; Recorded at Mac studios, and Video shoot/editing by Final Cut Digital Media. Through this song, the Rapper has brought a real hip-hop culture to Mangaluru. “Prince” alumni of St Aloysius High School-Mangaluru, later did his PUC at Milagres PUC- Mangaluru, and then his Diploma in Mechanical at St Joseph Industrial Training Centre-Mangaluru in 2011- and later worked at Emphasis-Mangaluru, before moving to Al Ain-UAE in the year 2013. Like they say it always nice to come back to hometown and continue earning for your living, he left UAE six months ago, and presently working in Medical Transcript dept at Mangalore Institute of Oncology.

The only son to his parents, whom Prince says that his mom and dad had struggled a lot to bring him up in his life and he owes a lot to his parents, he quotes. Apart from a musician/rap singer, ‘Prince’ was a former freestyle bike stunter with ‘Team Zero Gravity’-Mangaluru, and also with Team RDX-Mangaluru. “Prince” is looking forward for great support and encouragement from Mangaloreans and others, so that he can reach greater heights in promoting Rap in Tulu, Kannada, Konkani and other local languages, thereby introducing our local languages into the hip-hop/rap culture- and make it known to the world.

The YouTube link of the song “Jung” is incorporated below and the rapper promises to offer his fans a lot more songs representing Mangaluru and its culture and try to promote the city and the Hip Hop street genre in every possible way in the nearest future.
