Moodbidri Police Dismantle Brothel Operation in Niddodi, Four Individuals Apprehended
Moodbidri: In a decisive operation targeting illicit activities, Moodbidri police raided a brothel in a residential property in Niddodi. Four individuals implicated in the unlawful enterprise were apprehended. Authorities have identified the accused as Mahesh, a resident of Niddodi; Yagnesh, from the Kateel area; Dileep; and Srikant.
Acting on credible intelligence regarding suspicious activities, a dedicated police team, under the leadership of Inspector Sandesh P.G., conducted a targeted raid on a residence in Niddodi. Law enforcement officials suspected the property was being utilized as a brothel. Upon gaining entry to the premises, the police discovered a group of four young men in the company of two minor girls. The circumstances surrounding their presence raised immediate concerns, prompting further investigation.
During the subsequent search of the property, law enforcement officials reportedly recovered items and materials indicative of sexual activity. Preliminary investigations conducted at the scene suggest that Mahesh, the sole resident of the house, was allegedly exploiting the property for illicit and unlawful purposes. The evidence gathered during the raid provided grounds for the immediate arrest of the four individuals present at the scene.
Following the operation, a formal case has been registered against the accused at the Moodbidri Police Station. The charges filed against them fall under the purview of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, underscoring the severity of the alleged offenses and the commitment of law enforcement to safeguarding vulnerable members of the community.
