MP Shobha Karandlaje inaugurates BJP District Industrial Cell

Udupi: “An industrial convention facilitating training and development of small and medium scale industries will be launched in Udupi”, said Udupi-Chikkamangluru LS Constituency MP Shobha Karandlaje. She was speaking after inaugurating the Industrial Cell of district BJP, on December 20.

The convention will bring together potential entrepreneurs who want to set up small and medium scale industries. The three-day convention will be held during January second week. The programme will facilitate the participation of banking institutions, ministry officials and the resource persons who will focus on setting up medium and large scale industries.

The medium and large scale industries are employment generation hubs and with the setup of these industries, it will promote sustainable development. The defense sector is still dependent on foreign countries and by promoting these industries it will strengthen our defense perspectives.

The Udupi district has utilized Rs 300 crore under the Mudra scheme. Youth should come forward and avail loan to set up small and medium scale industries.

The booth level committees are strengthened, with the database being prepared it will have data of all committees.

The union government is moving ahead in providing certificates to artisans and other skilled laborers as to recognize their work and promote employment.

The state government will soon lose popularity with people being upset with the administration accused of all scams. Party workers should come together to strengthen the party for the coming assembly polls, she added.

BJP President Mattaru Rathnakar Hedge, State BJP general secretary N Ravi Kumar, B Nagaraj Shetty State Convenor Industrial Cell, K V Rajendra Kumar, Former MLA Raghupati Bhat, Uday Kumar Shetty and others were present.
