Nacho Cheese

Here is a quick appetizer fix up for a hungry bunch of group at any time of the day. This is a high in protein Mexican delicacy, that can be fixed in no time. Just remember to stack up a canned nacho cheese and refried beans in your pantry. Though it is considered as an appetizer, this dish can satisfy the hungry tummies and give you time for other things for a while. This has become one of our party favorite and my great bunch of nieces and nephews will say Yes! to this dish anytime.

Ingredients:

For Meat:
1 lb Ground Beef
1 pkt (1.25oz) Taco Seasoning Mix
3/4 cup water

1-15 oz can Nacho Cheese
1- 16 oz can Refried Beans
1 cup or 1 medium seeded diced tomato
1 cup thinly sliced lettuce
1/2 cup sour cream
1 14 oz bag Nacho or Tortilla Chips

Method:

Brown/boil the meat and drain.  Add taco seasoning mix, water and stir until well mixed till you get thick consistency.  Set aside.

Warm up the nacho cheese in microwave safe bowl for 1 minute.  Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds and set aside.

Warm up the refried beans for one minute.  Add a tablespoon of warm water, stir and microwave for another minute and set aside.

Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the sour cream and stir till soft.

In a round big serving tray, spread the nacho or tortilla chips.  Top it with cheese, followed by refried beans, ground beef, diced tomato, thinly sliced lettuce and finish off with sour cream.

Serve immediately.

Note:  You can also make a simple nacho cheese with just chips and cheese.
