NH SLAO Gayatri Nayak Caught Red-handed while accepting Bribe
Mangaluru: The Anti-Corruption Bureau team, caught the officer of the National Highway special Land Acquisition, Gayatri Nayak while accepting bribe at the Mini Vidhana Soudha here on January 4.
On receiving a complaint from Yogish Kumar, from Mulky, the ACB officers got into action. They went to Gayatri’s office and caught her red-handed while receiving a bribe from the complainant.
Yogish said to the officers that he has received Rs 18 lakh as compensation from the government and Gayatri demanded some percent of the amount he had received for clearing the cheque.
Gayatri Nayak was the tahsildar in Kundapur and later promoted as Land Acquisition Officer for the National Highways.
The DSP of ACB said that Gayatri was arrested and sent to Judicial custody for 15 days.
