Passenger Dies in Padubidri Auto Rickshaw-Bus Collision

Padubidri: A passenger died, and three others sustained injuries following a collision between an autorickshaw and a private bus in Padubidri. The incident occurred on Thursday morning near the Adve Ganapathi Temple, situated on the Karkala–Padubidri state highway.

Authorities have yet to confirm the identity of the deceased.

Preliminary reports indicate that the Padmambika bus, en route from Karkala to Mangalore, collided with the autorickshaw as it emerged from a nearby turn. A North Indian laborer who was a passenger in the autorickshaw died at the scene. The three injured individuals have been transferred to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The Padubidri police have initiated an investigation into the accident and have registered a formal case. Authorities visited the site to gather evidence and conduct inquiries.
