Passengers tackle Air rage ‘Drunk Hooligan’ trying to open door on a Plane to Phuket and wrap him in cling film

New Delhi: Holidaymakers on a flight to Thailand were horrified when a rowdy drunk had to be restrained with CLING FILM after he tried to open the emergency exit at 33,000 ft.

The terrified passengers were then faced with two other separate incidents as a pair deadlocked in a boozy row had to be separated and another drunk man was caught sparking up a cigarette in the loos.

The flight from Moscow to Phuket was first interrupted by a “wild hooligan” who was harassing female flight attendants.

Panicked staff then rushed to stop him as he attempted to force open the Boeing 777’s door in mid-air.

A doctor on the Nordwind Airlines plane attempted to calm the drunk to no avail before seven other passengers stepped in – but even they couldn’t hold him down.

The captain then asked if anyone had “plastic-wrap” as the plane’s crew resorted to desperate measures, restraining the maniac with cling film.

Elena Demidova, a TV reporter on the flight filmed some of the unbelievable events.

In the video, she says: “The first half of the flight was normal, but then I noticed strange activity among stewardesses.

“People in the cabin were whispering to each other that a doctor was called for somebody.

“Then on the intercom they asked if anybody had plastic food wrap.

“Suddenly the sign ‘fasten your seat belts’ began to flash. Why?

“Minutes later the captain explained a passenger in the rear of the plane was drunk and rowdy.”

The flight had to make an emergency landing in Uzbekistan, where passengers were delayed by four hours as the drunk was handed over to police waiting on the ground.

Russian transport police confirmed the “air hooligan” was handed to Uzbek police in Tashkent.

Incredibly, the nightmare didn’t end there – with Elena capturing part of a blazing row between two drunk passengers who had to be forcibly separated.

Staff then caught yet another drunk passenger smoking in the toilets, who was swiftly whisked away by Thai officials once the plane landed – as smoking on flights is illegal.

Astoundingly, the flight was strictly no-alcohol, with no liquor served on board.
