Persistent Drainage Issues Plague Bendur, Disrupting Commute for Students

Mangaluru: For nearly two weeks, residents near St. Theresa School in Bendur have been grappling with overflowing drainage, prompting concerns about public health and safety, particularly for students. The persistent issue, compounded by a similar situation in front of the Cognizant building, has created significant challenges for pedestrians, especially with the reopening of schools. Vehicles traversing the area are reportedly splashing drainage water, causing further inconvenience and potential hygiene risks for students.

The lack of action from relevant authorities has drawn criticism from local residents, who are urging immediate intervention to rectify the situation. The presence of stagnant drainage water poses potential health hazards and disrupts daily commutes. A swift response from the concerned departments is crucial to alleviate the problem and ensure a safe and sanitary environment for the community, particularly the students of St. Theresa School.
