Prostitution Racket at Rented House in Someshwar Busted, Two Pimps Arrested
Mangaluru: The CCB police arrested two pimps for running a prostitution racket at a rented house in Someshwar here on August 26.
The arrested have been identified as Arundhati (38) from Manjeshwar Kasargod and Saraswati (37) from Mangaluru. Other two accused Ranjitha and Dilraj are absconding.
On August 26, after getting information from reliable sources about a prostitution racket being operated at a rented house in Someshwar, the CCB police got into action and raided the house. In the raid, the police arrested two pimps and rescued a woman.
Dilraj had rented the house to Arundhati, Sarswati and Ranjitha and was operating a prostitution racket bringing girls from Bengaluru.
The police seized 2 mobile phones and cash Rs 20,800 from their possession.
The Ullal police have registered a case and search is on for Ranjitha and Dilraj.
Under the direction of Police commissioner Dr Harsha, and under the guidance of DCP Law and Order Arunagshu, DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh the operation was carried out by CCB inspector Shivaprakash R Naik, CCB PSI Kabbal Raj and team.
