‘Any Question? What’s the Next Question? But NOT many Answers!- at Poojary’s Press meet

Mangaluru: As always the media people don’t get the right answers to the questions posed at Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary, but even today it was something not new. These days Poojary has been a regular at Mangalore Press Club after he was restricted from having any press meet at the original Congress office. But unfortunately, many of the questions posed to him by the journos, Poojary has been reluctant in answering most of them. For example, at today’s press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, out of the many posed at him by the journos, only a few were answered by him, like-

When the question was posed to him what was his reaction of his Congress buddy Harikrishna Bantwal joining the BJP, Poojary said “No Comments?”; Also when asked about what was the progress in Tanveer Sait being charged for his recent act of watching porno during a programme, Poojary said,” No comments?’; When asked about whether he is worried about being sacked from the Congress party, he said, “No comments?” Also when asked about his any move to join a different political party, he said, “No comments?”. Anyways, that’s how it looks these days at Janardhan Poojary’s press meets after he expresses his feelings at every press meet he holds.

Addressing the media persons about the latest controversy on Yettinahole project blasting at CM Siddaramaiah, Poojary said, “Media has leaked out that three ministers of CM Siddaramaiah cabinet have accepted a bribe of Rs 50 crore in connection with the Yettinahole project. If CM has guts or any shame he should reveal the names of these ministers by this evening, after collecting details from the intelligence department. As a CM he should also sleuth and conduct an investigation about these three cabinet ministers concerned and expose their names and identity through media at the earliest. I warn you CM, if you fail in your duties to act fast on this issue, people will take for granted that you too are involved in this scandal”.

Poojary further said hinting at the CM, “If you have guts you should terminate these three ministers by this evening to avoid any more controversies. You should know because of these ministers the congress party is facing criticism. I urge you, If you have some morality and respect, take steps to protect the honour and dignity of the Congress party and get rid of all those who are stabbing from behind spoiling the name of Congress party from behind.”Speaking about Aakrosh Divas observance supported by the state government on Monday, Poojary said “I am glad that people did not support it as they have lost faith in the chief minister. Our CM should have taken the example of West Bengal CM Mamata Bannerji who spoke about the demonetization situation. But I support the decision taken by our CM not to support the bandh call put forth by the opposition party”.

Hitting hard on PM about the demonetization, Poojary said, “When Modi took oath during the ceremony accepting to be the PM, where he promised to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks but failed to do so. In order to cover up its failure, he resorted to demonetization to save his face. If he has the guts he and the Central government should give an account of the black money deposited in banks after the scrapping of high-denomination notes. India basically is a cash-based economy with cash in circulation amounting to about 12% of GDP. Rural India is predominately cash-dependent for its economic activities. Therefore, the sudden withdrawal of high denomination notes has caused severe livelihood problems to street vendors, small merchants, vegetable merchants, hawkers and rickshaw pullers, auto drivers, various craftsmen, farmers and agriculture labourers, service and other industrial sectors. The smooth functioning of co-operative societies in rural areas too has been adversely affected.”

Poojary further said, “Modi has done a good job by curbing out black money – but he has already planned about his demonetization with rich folks like Ambani’s, Birla’s, Tata’s and other multi-millionaires, but the suffering and agony caused by demonetization has been faced by the common man, small traders, farmers and daily wage workers. Those who had black money have already converted it by purchasing gold, land and other properties. The Centre has created financial anarchy in the country. Why is Modi hiding by not coming to the parliament to address the issue, instead he chooses to address Parliament through public rallies and party meetings? PM should know that there is an anti-Modi wave across the country. In spite of it, the government claims that 90% of the citizens have hailed the government move to fight black money and demonetization of high-value currency. This is false and if Modi continues with this kind of governance, his end will be near”.

Speaking further Poojary said, “Modi’s plans have ruined the poor and the farmers drastically. To save the country from financial disaster PM Modi should roll back his decision and think of a better plan to curb black money and at the sane time not put the common man in inconvenience and lots of hassles. Let’s hope and wait for a better plan to kill black money rather than put those innocent people in hardship”.
