Ramakrishna Mission’s 10 Cleanliness Drives of Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan in City

Manaluru: The Fifth week of 10 cleanliness drives of the 400 Abhiyans being organized by Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru took off on Sunday, the 6 November 2016 at 10 different locations in the city.

43 Ganapathi High school Road – The cleanliness drive was organized in association with the Ganapathi High school. Swami Tyagishwaranandaji of Bengaluru Ramakrishna Math and Ramachandra Rao jointly flagged off the drive. Capt. Ganesh Karnik addressed the gathering about hygiene and cleanliness. Mahesh Bondal, Ranjitha and others actively participated in the drive. GHS Road and surroundings were cleaned. Suresh Shetty coordinated the team members.
44 Konchady – Members of Konchady Friends Circle took up the cleanliness drive in Nekkila Malemar road. Swami Abhayanandaji of Bengaluru and Jagadeesh Shetty jointly flagged off the drive. About 45 youth under the guidance of Yogish and Deekshith took up the cleanliness drive for about 3 hours. Arjun Maroli coordinated the efforts.
45 Urwa Market – The members of MCF Mangala team and officials took up the 45th cleanliness drive in Urwa market area. Swami Tyagishwaranandaji of Bengaluru and Prabhakar Rao, Director of MCF flagged off the drive. Members of Urwa Cultural group, Students of Karnataka Ayurveda College and auto drivers actively participated in the drive. Captain Ganesh Karnik briefed the team members about the drive and its objectives. Jayaram Kavandoor guided the volunteers. P Suresh and Avinandan coordinated the team efforts. About 150 members participated in the drive.
46 Morgans Gate – The inmates of Bhagini samaj and the public of Morgans gate area participated in the cleanliness drive. Swami Jagannathanandaji of Gadag Ashrama and Rathna Alva flagged off the drive. Umanath Kotekar coordinated the volunteers.
47 Ladyhill – Members of Mangaluru Art of Living under the leadership of Sadashiva Kamath cleaned the surroundings of Ladyhill and surroundings. Swami Tyagishwaranandaji and Ashok Kumar Madanlal flagged off the drive. Members of the Art of Living of Ullal and Surathkal area participated in the drive. Jayanthi Achar, MCC member led the team. Sujith Pratap coordinated the efforts.
48 Valencia – The students of Sahyadri Engineering College under the leadership of Srilatha took up the cleanliness drive in Valencia area. Swami Bodhaswarupanandaji of Ponnampet Ramakrishna Ashrama and Prabhakar B K jointly flagged off the drive. The Swamiji briefed them about the drive and its objectives. Prakash Garodi and Dhanush coordinated the volunteers.
49 Chilimbi – Inmates of the Girls Hostel of Other Backward Classes took up the cleanliness drive. B H V Prasad and Noel Pinto jointly flagged off the drive. Prof. Mahesh guided the team members in the drive. Vittaldas Prabhu and Subraya Nayak coordinated the team efforts.
50 Jeppu ( Cascia) – The members of Nivedita Balaga took up the cleanliness drive in and around Cascia High school area. Swami Jagannathanandaji of Gadag inaugurated the drive. Shubhoday Alva actively participated in the drive. Kodange Balakrishna Nayak and Shishir Amin led the team in the drive.
51 Kudroli – Paramjyothi Manava Seva Samiti Sri Narayana Guru College jointly organized the cleanliness drive in Kudroli area. Swami Prakashanandaji of Ranebennur and Usha Rahul jointly flagged off the drive. Manohar Prabhu coordinated the team.
52 Bejai – The members of Mangalore Senior Citizens Forum carried out the 52nd cleanliness drive in and around KSRTC bus stand. Ramesh Rao guided the team. Nagesh and Ramkumar Bekal coordinated the team. It was a sight to see the old and young join the cleanliness drive alike.
