Rohan Corporation Marks the Finale of Freedom Palette 2026 at Rohan City
Mangaluru: The final round of Freedom Palette 2026, organised by Rohan Corporation, was held at Rohan City, Bejai, Mangaluru, marking the culmination of the art competition. The first round received a tremendous response, with 2,857 entries submitted by participants aged 16 years and below, from which 60 finalists were shortlisted to compete in the final round.

The final round was held on the theme “The Coast in the Story of India,” with participants portraying how Mangaluru’s coastal heritage, culture and identity contribute to the larger story of India through their artwork.
The entries were evaluated by Pixncil Studio, the Jury Partner for Freedom Palette 2026. The participants were assessed on concept, creativity and colour scheme.
The programme was graced by Dion Monteiro, Director of Rohan Corporation, Sumana, General Manager of the company, and jury members Pruthvi Raj and Mehika, who joined the dignitaries on stage.
Addressing the participants, Dion Monteiro said, “Freedom Palette provides children with a platform to express their ideas and creativity through art. This year’s theme gave them an opportunity to explore Mangaluru’s coastal identity and present their own interpretation of it. We are pleased to see the enthusiasm and effort shown by all the finalists.”
Speaking about the response to the competition, Mrs. Sumana added, “The response from the participants and their parents has been encouraging. Every finalist has brought a unique perspective to the theme, and we appreciate their effort and enthusiasm. We congratulate all the participants and wish them the very best.”
The results of Freedom Palette 2026 will be announced during the Independence Day celebrations at Rohan Square, Pumpwell, Mangaluru, on August 15. The competition carries cash prizes of Rs 25,000 for the first prize, Rs 15,000 for the second prize and Rs 10,000 for the third prize.
