Rowdy-sheeter Naveen D’Souza hacked to death at Padubidri
Udupi: In a horrific incident a rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by unidentified assailants at Kanjarakatte, Padubudri here on February 28.
The deceased has been identified as Naveen D’Souza (38), a resident of Santhur Kopla near Padubidri.
According to the primary reports by Padubidri PSI, the incident occurred at around 10:00 pm a gang of 3 to 4 members attacked Naveen with lethal weapons while he was coming out from the Gloria Bar. Naveen D’Souza was killed on the spot.
The murder is suspected to be an outcome of rivalry between gangs. The attackers then fled from the spot. Various cases were registered against Naveen D’Souza in the Padubidri police station limits.
Udupi SP Laxman Nimbargi and Padubidri police rushed to the spot and are investigating.
