Rowdy-Sheeter Sujith Pinto Murdered in Brahmavar; Auto-Rickshaw Driver Arrested

Brahmavar: Sujith Pinto, 43, a rowdy-sheeter, was allegedly murdered with an iron rod following a dispute over money within the limits of Brahmavar Police Station. District Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar confirmed that police arrested an auto-rickshaw driver identified as Pramod in connection with the case.

According to preliminary police information, Pramod had supplied goods to Sujith Pinto’s residence and was reportedly owed money. Over the alleged outstanding payment, Pramod reportedly called Sujith to the place where he was staying. When Sujith arrived, the two reportedly got into an altercation while under the influence of alcohol. During the confrontation, Pramod allegedly struck Sujith on the head with an iron rod, causing fatal injuries, police said.

Police said Sujith Pinto had been accused in several murder cases. He was also an accused in the 2018 murder of club owner Guruprasad Bhat in Manipal and the 2020 murder of Yogish Poojary in Lakshminagar, Tenkanidiyoor, within the limits of Malpe Police Station.

Sujith previously lived in Santhekatte, within the limits of Malpe Police Station, before moving to Brahmavar a few years ago.

Brahmavar police visited the scene for inspection after receiving information about the incident. Further investigation is underway.
