Rs 3 lakh Cash stolen from parked two-wheeler
Udupi: Cash Rs 3 lakh was reported stolen from a two-wheeler at Chittaranjan Circle here on Friday, March 24.
According to the police, Prabhakar Kotian a resident of Udupi had parked his Honda Activa scooter near Chittaranjan Circle and had gone to purchase jewellery. While he was going to the Jewellery shop he took with him Rs 50,000 to purchase the jewellery and the reaming amount of Rs 3 lakh was left in the box of his Activa scooter.
Prabhakar Kotian had gone to the nearby jewellery shop and purchased the Jewellery. When he came back, the box of the Activa was found open and the handbag containing the cash had gone missing.
A case has been registered in the Udupi Town Police station and investigation is on.
