RTI activist Vasudev Adiga murder, Police submit DNA report to Court

Kundapur: The special investigation officer submitted the DNA report of RTI Activist Vasudev Adiga here on August 22.

Kundapur DySP who is the investigation officer of Vasudev Adiga murder case submitted the report to the additional sessions court Kundapur on August 22.

The body of Congress leader and RTI activist Vasudev Adiga (45), who was abducted on January 7, 2013, was found in a pond on January 12 in Chikkamagaluru district. The decomposed body was found with hands and legs tied, and secured with a sizeable rock not allowing the body to float. Adiga was strangulated to death, tied up and thrown into the pond. Eight persons including an astrologer were arrested in the case. The accused were later released on bail.

Police had collected blood samples which were found in the vehicle and had sent the samples for a DNA test.
