Sameer murder case, Police Searching for wife Firdous – SP Laxman Nimbargi

Udupi: “We are searching for Firdous, wife of slain Mohammed Sameer who is missing from Kaup”, said SP Laxman Nimbargi during the phone in programme when Sameer’s relatives called from Mangaluru and demanded for her arrest in the murder of her husband Sameer on September 28.

Sameer (35) along with his wife and daughter had gone to Bengaluru for an interview by flight on September 13. Sameer had called his mother on September 15 from Bengaluru. The family members of Sameer got information that Firdous had returned from Bengaluru to her peternal house. When Sameer’s family contacted Firdous she said that Sameer was in relationship with another woman.

Now since Firdous has been absconding, family members of Sameer in Mangaluru called the SP of Udupi Laxman Nimbargi during the phone-in programme and requested to investigate why Firdous was Missing.

Speaking to the mediapersons after the phone-in programme, SP Laxman Nimbargi said, “A missing person’s case has been registered in the Kaup police station since Firdous has now gone missing. The Bajpe police had registered the missing case of Sameer, in Bengaluru Sameer Kidnap case and in Tamil Nadu Sameer’s murder case has also been registered. Sameer was murdered in Tamilnadu and the local police there are investigating the case.”

Nimbargi also said, “It is suspected that Firdous along with her paramour is involved in the murder of Sameer. We are investigating the case. So far there are no indications of Firdous leaving the country, search is on for her”.
