Seems Like CM likes D’Souza’s and NOT Poojary’s?

Mangaluru: Former Union Minister, and senior Congress leader Janardhana Poojary is once again fuming at CM Siddaramaiah, for not attending the formal inauguration celebrations at Shri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, although the CM was in town for other functions. But sources reveal that CM’s visit to the Temple was not on his schedule, and also that Janardhan Poojary nor anyone from the Temple management had extended him an invitation to join in the celebration. Also, that with all the criticisms lashed out at the CM during various press meets held by Poojary, do you think the CM will oblige?

As per temple sources, it is learnt that they were not aware of CM’s visit to Mangaluru, but later when they found out that the CM was in town, they were expecting him to join in the Navarathri celebrations, but all in vain since the CM never showed up. The temple management had waited till 6.50 pm although the inauguration was planned for 6.30 pm- but when they got the news that CM has changed his plans, the inauguration was done by duo widow priests, Laxmi and Indira, by lighting the traditional lamp along with Poojary, H S Sairam,Jaya C Suvarna, Devendra Poojary, Urmila Ramesh, Padmaraj, Harikrishna Bantwal, among others.

Following the inauguration and reciting prayers, Janardhana Poojary addressing the gathering said, ” I am very much hurt that CM ignored us and visited a politician’s house. Although we did not personally invite the CM, but we got the news from reliable sources that CM would visit our Temple. I insisted that prayers be offered for CM for his continuance in power for 15 years during his visit. But unfortunately, he ignored us, instead visited a Congress leader’s house in Valencia-Mangaluru. Even though he had come down to inaugurate the Park at BC Road-Bantwal, where I reside, but I never invited the CM to my house. But someone else here did it, and stopped him from attending the Temple celebration. I don’t care if CM likes me or not, but at least for the sake of the people and temple he should have made a visit, which would have been a blessing to all”.

Later it was learnt that, it was Congress Chief Whip Ivan D’souza’ s house that the CM had gone after accepting the invite from Ivan. Clarifying on the comments made by Janardhan Poojary, Chief Whip Ivan had said, ” I am not happy with the comments made by the Senior congress leader, that I was responsible for CM’s indifferent attitude. In fact, CM’s visit to the Temple was not on his agenda, and also that he had no formal invitation to grace the inaugural ceremony of Dasara at the temple. Since there was some time left for his departure to Bengaluru, I personally invited him to my house and he readily agreed. He was at my house for less than 45 minutes. Whatever rumours are being spread are not true, since I had no intention of hurting anyone”.
