Six Persons Booked in Udupi District for Lockdown Violation

Udupi: The Udupi district police on Thursday, March 25 registered 3 cases against 6 persons at the Malpe, Amasebalu and Udupi Town police stations for violating lockdown restrictions enforced in view of the spread of Covid-19.

The violators were booked uunder section 269,188, 323 and 324 of IPC. The Malpe police booked three men Faris Hyder (31), Afwan B (25) and Thaeer Abbas (58) residents of Paduthonse Hode. The accused were roaming unnecessary on the road in their car. As per the complaint filed by the Udupi Thasildar Pradeep Kurdekar, Malpe police registered the case.

Amasebailu police also registered a case against Nagaraj Poojary for violating the lockdown order. Udupi town police registered a case against Jayaprakash (22) and Mahesh (18) who were loitering on the road near Bramagiri Junction without a valid reason.
