Sri Durgamba Bus Stolen Near Petrol Bunk in Udupi
Udupi: The Udupi Town Police Station registered a case after a Sri Durgamba bus parked behind Hanuman Petrol Bunk in the city was reportedly stolen.
Krishna, 51, a resident of Katbelthur, is the conductor of the Sri Durgamba bus, while Rayin Uchila is the driver. The bus, bearing registration number KA-20-AD-1931, was parked behind Hanuman Petrol Bunk at around 9:48 p.m. on September 28.
At around 10 p.m., Krishna and driver Rayin reportedly left the spot on a scooter. When they returned to the petrol bunk as usual on the morning of September 29, they found the bus missing.
According to the complaint, two unidentified persons allegedly arrived on a two-wheeler and stole the parked bus.
Based on Krishna’s complaint, Udupi Town Police registered a case under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in Crime No. 132/2026. The police are investigating the incident.
