Sudhamshu Kashyap and Aveena Kalal Team Claims Trophy in Intra College Medquiz Contest
Mangaluru: The Dept. of General Medicine A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences conducted an intra-collegiate 7th Annual “Mediquiz” contest for the under Graduate students at their conference hall on 1 September 2018.
Dean of the college Dr Ashok Hegde graced the occasion as chief guest, in his address he advised the undergraduates and postgraduate students to enhance their knowledge by participating in the quiz contest regularly to achieve success in their medical professional career.
He later congratulated all the 8 teams qualified for the final round and awarded the Trophy, prizes and merit certificates to the winning team of Sudhamshu Kashyap and Aveena Kalal and Runners-up team Prithvi Shetty and Poorna Prasad and congratulated them on their unique achievements. Former Dean Dr. Ramesh Pai, Senior Prof. Dr. Prabhakar Rao and Head of the Dept. of Medicine Dr. E.V.S. Maben were guests of honour on the occasion.
Professor of Dept of General medicine Dr. Devdas Rai was the quiz master, he informed that the Dist. level intercollegiate medical quiz contest will be conducted on 29 September 2018 at their college premises and the winners are qualified to participate in the contest.
18 Teams from the college contested in the preliminary round and 8 teams qualified for the final round. Dr. Andrew Alex Vargheese and Dr. Vallish Shenoy assisted Dr. Rai as score markers. Dr. Nehal welcomed, Dr. Naidila Jain delivered the vote of thanks.
