Three Booked for Allegedly Bringing Bangladeshi Nationals to Work in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Police have registered a case against Moidul Islam, Rasul Islam, and Delaewar Hossain, all natives of West Bengal, for allegedly bringing Bangladeshi nationals to Mangaluru for employment.

According to the police, the accused were involved in recruiting and transporting labourers from various northern Indian states to work in Mangaluru. During the investigation, it was found that they had also allegedly brought several Bangladeshi nationals along with the workers.

Moidul Islam and Delaewar Hossain have been arrested in Mangaluru.

The third accused, Rasul Islam, was arrested in Kolkata with the assistance of the Kolkata Police following coordination by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order). A police team from Mangaluru has already left for Kolkata to secure his transit and bring him to the city for further investigation.

Police said the investigation is continuing to ascertain whether any other individuals were involved in the alleged network of bringing Bangladeshi nationals to Mangaluru for employment.

The case has been registered at the Urwa Police Station as Crime No. 75/2026 under Sections 143(3) and 336(3) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

1. Delaewar Hossain (29)
Son of Joydul Islam
Resident of Ramchandmati, Belia, Syampur, Murshidabad district, West Bengal.
2. MD Moidul Islam (35)
Son of Giyasuddin Sheik

Resident of Chavpukur Village, Shagia Post, Lalgola, Murshidabad district, West Bengal.
Police are continuing their investigation to identify any additional persons connected with the alleged offence.
