Trucker Electrocuted to Death by Live Cable Wire in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: A tragic incident unfolded at the Padaru Junction on Wednesday, June 5 morning when a 23-year-old was electrocuted as soon as he came in contact with a live wire.

The incident took place near the Padaru Junction, Kudtamogeru here.

The victim has been identified as Dushyanth (23), a native of Alur in Hassan district, who worked as a part of a truck crew for the KMF feed transportation department. The incident occurred when the victim climbed the roof of the truck in order to retrieve his clothing garment that was put out for dry on top of the vehicle. KMF is a manufacturer of maize and millet cattle feed and is located in Hassan, Karnataka.

The truck driver and the victim were delivering cattle feed to the Madakatte milk dairy. When they stopped to inquire about the location of the dairy, the victim climbed atop the truck and failed to notice the live wire before coming in contact with it. A police complaint involving unnatural death has been filed at the nearby police station.
