TV reporter killed in road accident in Ramanagar

Ramanagar (MN): A journalist met his tragic end in a road accident on Tuesday.

Hanumanthu aged 31 years and district correspondent of Public TV is the deceased journalist.

The incident occurred when a cash loading van of ATM hit him from the rear side near Ramanagar Jail.

Hanumanthu had gone to report about the shifting of those arrested in Padarayanapura case in Bengaluru, to the prison here.

He leaves behind his wife and a year old kid.

Upon hearing the news, former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy announced a relief of Rs five lakh from his pocket to the next of kin of Hanumanthu. He also promised to sponsor the treatment of Hanumanthu’s child which is unwell.

Meanwhile local MLA Anita Kumaraswamy has also expressed her condolences over his death.
