Two Arrested for Narcotics Trafficking in Kundapur
Kundapur: Local law enforcement officials have apprehended two individuals on suspicion of selling narcotics near Kodi Chakreshwari Temple. The arrests occurred on June 4, marking a significant development in the ongoing effort to combat drug trafficking in the region.
The suspects have been identified as Mudassir, 23, a resident of Kapu Subhash Nagar, and Aden Lobo, 18, a resident of Udyavar. Authorities seized a substantial quantity of narcotics valued at approximately Rs. 2.46 lakh. The seized substances included 124.72 grams of MDMA. In addition to the narcotics, police confiscated three mobile phones, Rs. 4,540 in cash, and other related items from the accused.
A formal case has been registered at the Kundapur police station under crime number 69/2025, invoking sections 8C, 21C, and 22C read with 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Following their arrest, both Mudassir and Lobo were presented before the court to face charges related to narcotics trafficking.
