Two pythons rescued from open well in Uppoor

Udupi: In a daring rescue operation carried out by snake expert Gururaj Sanil and the fire department, two pythons, a male and female were rescued from an old unusable open well at Ammunje near Uppoor on Wednesday, February 22.

According to the locals, two pythons fell into the open well while they were mating. Concerned about the safety of the locals as well as the pythons, a resident informed snake expert Gururaj Sanil and the fire department.

On Wednesday snake expert Gururaj Sanil and the fire department arrived at the spot and rescued the pythons. They were then handed over to the forest department. The forest department officials then release the pythons at the Kudremukh National park area.
