Udupi District Court Receives Bomb Threat Through Email

Udupi: A bomb threat sent via email to the Udupi District Court triggered panic and heightened security measures on Monday morning.

Following the receipt of the threatening email, personnel from the Udupi City Police, along with the bomb disposal squad and dog squad, rushed to the court complex and launched an extensive search operation. A thorough inspection of the court premises and all sections of the building is currently underway.

As a precautionary measure, security at the court complex has been significantly tightened, with additional police personnel deployed to ensure the safety of court staff, advocates, litigants, and visitors.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the email and verify the authenticity of the threat.

Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
