Udupi: G Shanker Family Trust distributes 756 Health Cards to Police

Udupi: The G Shanker family Trust, in association with Mogaveera Yuva Sanghatane, distributed Health cards to the police personal at the conference hall, Superintendent of Police premises  here on January 8.

The Programme began with an invocation by Udaykumar. Chandresh Pithrodi of Mogaveera Yuva Sanghatane welcomed the gathering.

Nadoja Dr G Shanker president of G Shanker Family Trust inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Annamalai K IPS, Superintendent of Police Udupi district symbolically distributed Health cards to the police personal. A total of 756 health cards were distributed under this initiative.

In his inaugural message G Shanker said that the Trust has given priority to the  Health and Education sector. Through Manipal Hospital, G Shanker family trust has given Arogya Suraksha cards to a number of families. Current year Arogya Cards will be given to 25,000 families. It has also set a target to collect 15000 units of Blood, he said.

In his message Annamalai K said that G Shanker Family is doing remarkable work for the betterment of the poor people. Among such persons Entrepreneur G Shankar is in first place and by helping the poor people in education and distributing health cards to the police personal, he is doing the work which was supposed to have been done by the government. The State government has announced Rs 1,000 every year to all policemen for their health check-up which could be used by them and their families, he said.

Prasanna Kailaje director, Babanna deputy director of Manipal University, Santhosh Kumar Additional SP were present on the occasion.
