Udupi: Nitish Hebbar makes District Proud Scoring Eight Rank in UPSC Exam

Udupi: Nitish Ramakrishna Hebbar of Udupi District has scored the 8th rank in the civil services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Nithish holds a BE in Electronics and Communications. He had appeared for the civil service examinations in 2011 and had passed the examinations but had the urge to clear IAS. In 2013, he appeared for the civil service examination again and secured 547 rank. The central government directed him to join the Indian Revenue Service. He joined the IRS training. His urge to secure rank within 100 and to be an IAS officer was fulfilled as he appeared again for the examination in 2015 and cleared the examination by securing the eight rank.

At present, he is undergoing IRS training and will join IAS training in Mysore. His dedication has helped him score high marks in the IAS exams.

Speaking to www.mangalorean.com, Nithish said that he studied for 10-12 hrs a day. He was pained to see the difficulties of people in the villages while he was studying in Chitradurga. There he decided to be an IAS officer and serve the rural masses. He used to read 2 newspapers daily and watch inspiring English films as part of recreation on Sundays.

His father Ramakrishna Hebbar is an officer in Karnataka Bank and his mother Bharathi is a homemaker. His sister Chaitra is pursuing her studies in Naturopathy.
