Udupi: “Jayaprakash hedge needs no certificate of existence from former MLA UR Sabhapathi, as Congress will feel the heat of Hegde’s existence in ZP and TP polls,” said former Bramhavar Block Congress President Rajesh Shetty Birthi. He was addressing a press meet at Press Club Udupi here, on February 18.

Hitting hard on UR Sabhapathi’s statement saying Jayaprakash Hegde had no existence, Rajesh Shetty said that UR Sabhapathy had sold his ticket for money and then fled to JD(S). Hedge needs no lecture from non-existent leaders like UR Sabhapathi. Sabhapathi is ready to join any party if provided with enough money. He should first strengthen his existence and then speak about others. When Sabhapathi resigned no other party worker has resigned with him, but when Jayaprakash Hegde was expelled, his followers have continued to resign till today.

He further said, “We have come out of the hell called Congress and will oppose the party in the coming ZP and TP polls. The party has pained us and Jayaprakash Hegde.” The Bramhavar Block Congress had succeeded in winning 3 ZP and 7 TP in last elections but this time it will only win 1 ZP and 2 TP seats.

The accidents are at peak in Bramhavar region due to non completion of national highway, Oscar Fernandes was then surface minister in UPA government but he didn’t even bother to settle the issues. The 9/11 problem is still prevailing, the ration cards are cancelled but still the people representatives are not bothered to solve the core issues.

While asked on their next political move, Shetty said, “We want to showcase the existence of our leader Jayaprakash Hegde in coming elections and then will decide on our next political move. There is no place for party loyalists in the Congress.”

Expelled congress leaders Vikas Shetty, Kabyadi Vinaykumar, Prathviraj Shetty, Gopal Bangera were also present at the press meet.
