Me too: Uma Thurman on Weinstein scandal
Los Angeles, Nov 24 (IANS) Actress Uma Thurman has broken her silence on the issue of sexual assault allegations concerning Harvey Weinstein, hinting that she herself was a victim of the Hollywood producer.
Thurman, who worked with Weinstein in films like “Pulp Fiction” and the “Kill Bill” series, slammed him in a Thanksgiving post over Instagram on Thursday, reports theguardian.com.
Alongside a photograph of herself as The Bride from “Kill Bill”, Thurman wrote “Happy Thanksgiving. I am grateful today, to be alive, for all those I love, and for all those who have the courage to stand up for others.”
She later referred to a video interview from October in which she said she was too angry to discuss the Weinstein scandal.
“I said I was angry recently, and I have a few reasons, #metoo, in case you couldn’t tell by the look on my face. I feel it’s important to take your time, be fair, be exact, so… Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators — I’m glad it’s going slowly — you don’t deserve a bullet) — stay tuned Uma Thurman,” she added.
