Union Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visits Udupi Sri Krishna Math
Udupi: Union Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who is on the election campaign tour of the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency, visited the Udupi Sri Krishna Math on Tuesday, March 26 and had a darshan of the deity.
Nirmala Sitharaman had a darshan of the deity through the ‘Kanakana Kindi’ (through which the famed poet-saint Kanakadasa had first seen the deity centuries ago).
Later Nirmala Sitharaman met Paryaya Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji of Palimar Math, she was honoured on the occasion.
MP Shobha Karandlaje, BJP district President Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, MLA Raghupathi Bhat, ZP member Githanjali Suvarna and others were present.
