Vittal Police Arrest Two Ganja Traders, Ganja worth Rs 2 lakh Seized
Mangaluru: Vittal police arrested two persons in connection with selling ganja at Kanthadka Alike Gram here on December 30.
The arrested have been identified as Khalandhar Shafi (22), from Kanyana Bantwal and Arman (25), a native of Uttar Pradesh.
On receiving information about the increase in ganja trade, Bantwal DySP Ravish formed a special team under the able guidance of Superintendent of police Bhushan Borase. On getting reliable information the police reached Kanthadka and took two youth into custody. Police also seized 13 Kgs of ganja and a Scooter worth Rs 2lakh from their possession.
Under the able guidance of SP Bhushan Borase, the operation was carried out by the DySP Ravish, CPI Manjayya, Vittal PSI Nagaraju, ASI Rukmaiah, HC Balakrishna, Harischandra, Ramachandra, Sitaram Gowda, PC Praveen Rai, Bhavith Rai, Satyaprakash Rai, Uday and Vijayeshwar. The Superintendent of Police Bhushan appreciated the swift action by the Bantwal police in arresting the accused and announced reward for their efforts.
