Why is the BJP Tensed up if Rahul Gandhi comes to Karnataka – Oscar Fernandes
Udupi: The Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party is always claiming that If Congress President Rahul Gandhi comes to the state it will help the BJP, then why are they getting tensed up after Rahul’s Karnataka visit asked Rajya Sabha member and former Union Minister Oscar Fernandes.
He was speaking to the media persons in Udupi on February 17, Oscar said that If Rahul’s visit helps the BJP then Modi and Amith Shah’s visit will help the Congress. Rahul Gandhi’s recent visit to North Karnataka has infused new strength among the Congressmen, especially in the young Congress cadre. Congress has laid a strong foundation to fight against the BJP in the forthcoming assembly elections in the state. The party will not fear political campaigning by Narendra Modi and Amith Shah.
When asked about Amith Shah’s visit to Udupi fishermen convention, Oscar said that BJP is doing a good job by organising the convention for Fishermen. Today the Coastal Fishermen are in trouble and the Union government should help them, he added.
AICC president Rahul Gandhi will visit Dakshina Kannada and Udupi in the first week of March, the date is yet to be finalised. The opposition is criticising Rahul’s Temple visit and it is the duty of the opposition party to criticise. The Congress will reach out to the people on the basis of achievement of the state government, he said.
When asked about three aspirants from the party for the Karkala assembly constituency. He said that the Congress party High command will take the decision in this matter. The matter was reported to the High Command and the final selection will be made by the High command, the chief minister, the KPCCI president and veteran Congress leaders.
Oscar is the same guy who beat T A Pai who deserved to win. Staff of Syndicate Bank voted against T A Pai who lost his deposit to unworthy candidate like Oscar. What a shame! Shame, not for T A Pai but for the stupid voters who rejected T A Pai. What is Oscar’s contribution? Presiding over rickshaw owner’s association?
