Will speak to high command; resolve issues, offers Siddaramaiah

Bagalkot: Breaking his silence weeks after the assembly polls, former chief minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday, offered to resolve differences in the Congress over the allocation of ministerial berths, by talking to the party high command.

Speaking to reporters at Nilagunda, in Bagalkot district, he said that he was in constant touch with MLAs and speaking to them at least three times a day. “They are satisfied. There is no dissatisfaction among them,” he claimed.

Siddaramaiah said that the ministers who have currently been sworn-in, would be given two years. “Other aspirants will be given a chance at the end of the two year term,” he noted.

Denying that the Delhi high command had summoned him, Siddaramaiah said that he had not been to Delhi for that reason. “But I have spoken to the high command over the phone,” he added.

Quizzed about making MLA M B Patil deputy chief minister (DyCM), Siddaramaiah said that no more DyCM positions would be created as of now. “As for the post of KPCC president, (AICC chief) Rahul Gandhi will take a decision,” he added.
