Yenepoya Medical College Hospital Observes World Hypertension Day, Underscoring Importance of Regular Screening
Mangaluru: Yenepoya Medical College Hospital (YMCH) commemorated World Hypertension Day with an event focused on raising public awareness about hypertension and promoting preventative healthcare measures. The observance commenced with symbolic blood pressure screenings of elderly patients at the Hospital’s Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Screening Clinic.
Mr. Vijayanand Shetty, Senior Marketing Executive, initiated the proceedings by welcoming attendees and introducing both on- and off-stage dignitaries. Dr. Nagaraj Shet, Assistant Medical Superintendent, YMCH, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the Hospital’s commitment to public health enhancement through quality care and proactive awareness initiatives. “Yenepoya Medical College Hospital is dedicated to enhancing collective public health. We aim to achieve this not just through quality care but also by creating awareness about various health risks through the observance of such health-related days,” Dr. Shet stated.

He further highlighted the role of Yenepoya Medical College Hospital’s NCD Clinics, which provide complimentary blood pressure and blood sugar screenings to university students and patient relatives.
