Yet another Bengaluru girl detained for holding ‘Free Kashmir’ placard

Bengaluru: The city police detained yet another girl for having placard showing free Kashmir, free Dalit, free Muslim, free trans and free Adivasi during a protest called by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at Town Hall on Friday afternoon.

The SJ Park Police took Arudra into custody within minutes she walked to protest venue.

The pro-Hindu organisation called a protest condemning the incident at Freedom Park on Thursday where a-19-year-girl Amulya Leona shouted slogan on pro-Pakistan on the stage.

City Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao said that Arudra was detained and she didn’t shout any slogan but holding a placard showing free Kashmir, free Muslim and other things, soon after entering the protest venue she was detained and Central Division DCP is interrogating her.

The preliminary investigation revealed that she is a resident of Malleswaram and working in a private firm.

Amulya was produced before the magistrate on Thursday night who remained her to 14 days judicial custody.
