Youth admitted to Hospital for Consuming Phenol, Attempts Suicide
Mangaluru: A 28-year-old youth attempted suicide by jumping from the 4th floor of the Hospital building on September 20.
The youth has been identified as Naveen Kumar (28) from Attavar.
According to the police, Naveen Kumar had consumed phenol on September 17 and was admitted to a private hospital in the city. On September 20 at around 3:15 pm, Naveen Kumar jumped from the ward window on the fourth floor of the hospital.
Naveen Kumar is being treated for non-life threatening injuries he sustained. The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
