Youth Dies After Motorcycle Collides with Tree Near Manipal
Manipal: A young man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided in to a roadside tree near Kelaparkala in Herga village on the Udupi–Agumbe National Highway in the early hours of Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sanath, a resident of Atrimady.
According to reports, Sanath had gone to Manipal for dinner on Monday night, August 10, along with his friends, including Ashish. After dinner, the group left for home at around 11:25 p.m. Sanath was riding his friend’s Bullet motorcycle, while two other friends followed him on another motorcycle.
While travelling from Manipal towards Parkala, Sanath reportedly lost control of the motorcycle near the Gopalakrishna Temple at Kelaparkala Down in Herga village. The motorcycle veered to the extreme right side of the road and crashed into a roadside tree. Due to the impact, Sanath and the motorcycle were thrown into a roadside drain.
His friends and local residents immediately pulled him out of the drain and provided first aid. Sanath had sustained severe bleeding injuries to his head and other parts of his body and was reportedly unable to speak.
He was rushed to a hospital in Manipal in a vehicle. However, after examination, doctors declared him dead.
Police suspect that excessive speed and negligent driving may have led to the accident. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

This is very sad. It is better to enquire if he had consumed alcohol before driving.
