Youth in Mangaluru Dies by Suspected Suicide After Posting Final Message

Mangaluru: A 22-year-old man, identified as Roshan, has reportedly died by suicide in an apartment near Kadri Shivabhag, Mangaluru. Roshan, a native of Kumbla Perwad in the Kasaragod district of Kerala, was found deceased on Wednesday morning by his roommates.

Roshan had been residing in the rented apartment with other young men for the past four months while working at an ice cream shop near Kadri Park. Preliminary investigations suggest that Roshan took his own life after an earlier attempt to harm himself.

Reports indicate that on Tuesday night, Roshan allegedly slit his hand, leaving bloodstains within the room. He is then suspected to have hanged himself from the ceiling fan. A liquor bottle was discovered in the vicinity. Concern arose when Roshan remained inside his room past 10:00 AM on Wednesday, prompting his roommates to force entry, whereupon they discovered his body.

Authorities discovered that Roshan had written a woman’s name on the wall using his own blood. Furthermore, he had posted a final message on WhatsApp stating, “This is my last status.” Investigators are exploring the possibility that a failed romantic relationship may have contributed to his decision. Family members have informed the police that Roshan had previously attempted suicide in his hometown approximately seven months prior.

The Kadri Police have registered a case and are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Roshan’s death.
